Origin is the leading importer and distributor of animal feed ingredients in Ireland and is a significant blender and distributor of fertiliser in Ireland and the UK. Feed ingredients and fertiliser represent the major components of purchased farm inputs in both Ireland and the UK.
Animal Feed Ingredients
R & H Hall
R & H Hall is Ireland's leading importer and supplier of raw material ingredients to the Irish animal feed manufacturing and flour milling industry, through the operation of an extensive trading, shipping and logistics capability.
Ireland is a deficit country in the production of native cereals and proteins for animal feed. Accordingly production must be supplemented through the importation of feed ingredients such as soya beans, corn gluten and feed wheat.
R&H Hall is involved in the sourcing of a wide range of these protein and energy ingredients for the animal feed compounding industry in Ireland. Its spread of portside facilities across Dublin, Cork, Ringaskiddy, Foynes and Belfast provide a unique logistical positioning for this business.
R&H Hall’s trading and shipping capability gives it access to international markets and multiple sources of supply. Ingredients are imported from over 15 countries worldwide. The strength of the key relationships with the world's leading producers and suppliers of bulk ingredients ensure that the market is supplied with an extensive range of competitively priced raw materials.

Fertiliser
Origin Enterprises fertiliser division encompass the blending and distribution of agricultural fertiliser and horticulture products in Ireland and the UK.
Origins’ fertiliser manufacturing activity involves the blending of specific nutrient combinations for example potash, nitrogen and potassium, which are tailored to particular farm production systems and regional soil deficiencies. Origin Enterprises is not a primary producer of fertiliser.
Origin Enterprises also has a state of the art steam granulation plant in the UK, which blends horticultural fertiliser for a number of markets including the agricultural amenity and home garden markets amongst others.
